Thinkwise Platform 2026.1: ready for digital autonomy
With Platform 2026.1, we further expand the Thinkwise Platform. This release strengthens our Technology-as-a-Service vision and gives organizations greater freedom in technology choices, deployment options, and ways of working. New in this release are native support for PostgreSQL and a fully web-based platform, including the Software Factory.
Flexible deployment and Technology-as-a-Service
As European organisations increasingly prioritise digital sovereignty, the Thinkwise Platform stands as a cornerstone technology for achieving true digital autonomy. The platform allows customers to build tailor-made business applications that truly fit an organization’s unique needs while using standard and evergreen technology.
In addition, the Thinkwise Technology-as-a-Service model provides unprecedented deployment flexibility. Organisations can choose to deploy on-premises - including air-gapped environments for maximum security - or leverage hyperscaler infrastructure from providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. For organisations seeking a managed solution, Thinkwise Cloud offers a fully supported hosting option.

PostgreSQL as a supported database option
With the 2026.1 release, the platform introduces support for the proven open-source database technology PostgreSQL, in addition to open-source technologies like .NET for the service layer and React for the User Interface. Customers are now able to build tailor-made applications on their preferred database technology, be it SQL Server by Microsoft, DB2 by IBM, Oracle Database or PostgreSQL.
"Digital autonomy is all about freedom of choice and applications tailored to your unique needs," said Arie Versluis, Strategic Product Manager at Thinkwise. "Platform 2026.1 reinforces our commitment to technology free from vendor lock-in and proprietary constraints."

Universal UI: develop from any device
With this release, the entire Thinkwise Platform - including the Software Factory - is now available through the Universal UI. This enhancement enables developers to build, deploy, and manage enterprise applications from any device, whether working from the office, remotely, or whilst travelling. The Universal UI ensures consistent productivity regardless of location or device preference.
