When existing systems hold innovation back

Rhapsody faced a challenge many established software vendors will recognise:

  • An outdated legacy architecture was slowing down new development
  • New requirements around AI and cloud were hard to integrate
  • Traditional development approaches would have taken years to reach market

At the same time, demand was growing for simpler, more flexible sales solutions. Day-to-day frustrations, no clear overview of recent customer contacts, unstructured follow-up, made it obvious that existing systems weren't keeping up. The problem wasn't the sales process itself. It was the tooling.

That led to one central question:
How do you build new products fast – and future-proof at the same time?

A hybrid rebuild as the foundation for scalable innovation

Rhapsody deliberately chose not to modernise their existing CRM step by step, but they didn't go full greenfield either. Instead, they went for a hybrid rebuild: building new, while carrying over proven data structures, business logic and domain knowledge from the existing system.

The goal:

  • Take full advantage of a modern architecture
  • Build on proven logic and existing expertise
  • Reduce development risk and shorten time-to-market
  • Create a technological foundation where AI can be embedded structurally into sales processes

The focus was on:

  • Taking new product ideas from concept to user feedback quickly
  • A solid, scalable data architecture
  • Seamless integration of modern technologies like AI
  • Continuous improvement driven by user input

Already during the Proof of Value, it became clear that the Thinkwise platform could handle the fast, structured implementation of core CRM functionality and complex data models: from customer and supplier structures to communication and document processes.

Even at this early stage, features tailored to the day-to-day reality of sales representatives were already taking shape. Integration of map and geodata (via Google APIs) makes it possible to visualise customers, visit routes and sales activities directly in the system. Combined with mobile use and offline capability, this creates a seamless work tool – from planning to customer visit to follow-up.

From idea to market-ready product in a matter of months

That foundation led to a new product in just a few months: HVH Flow, an AI-powered sales assistant. Built together with over 100 sales representatives from the field, to make sure AI technology actually simplifies, structures and supports their daily work – in a way that simply didn't exist before.

André Keeve: "For us, it was clear: AI only works with the right architecture. With Thinkwise, we were able to lay exactly that foundation and integrate AI directly into our processes, not as a feature, but as a core part of the solution."

AI as an integral part of modern sales processes

HVH Flow is an AI-powered CRM platform for sales agencies that structures, automates and brings full transparency to sales processes. Users keep track of every opportunity, cut down on manual work and get smart support throughout the entire sales cycle.

Key focus areas

  • Supporting spontaneous, mobile ways of working
  • Less time spent on manual documentation
  • Structure across the entire sales process

Core features:

  • Automated creation of visit reports
  • Support for communication before and after customer appointments
  • Intelligent prioritisation of customers and activities
  • Assistance with visit and route planning

HVH Flow makes implicit sales logic systematically usable for the first time – helping sales representatives move from reactive to structured, proactive selling. They can also plan and manage customers, routes and activities visually, directly in the system and on mobile devices.

André Keeve: "AI wasn't an add-on for us – it was the starting point. Thinkwise made it possible to build a solution where AI delivers real value, not just a technical promise."

Less development time, more results

With Thinkwise, Rhapsody significantly improved both the development process and the tangible benefits for users:

  • Market-ready product in 5–6 months, instead of a multi-year trajectory
  • Up to 30% efficiency improvement in daily work; over 250 hours saved per user per year
  • Fast incorporation of user feedback through agile, community-driven development
  • A solid foundation for future AI-based products

André Keeve: "With Thinkwise, we built a product in just a few months that saves our users up to 30% of their time. Something we could never have achieved that quickly or consistently with traditional development."

Platform strategy as a growth engine

The combination of platform strategy and fast new development gives Rhapsody the ability to:

  • Bring new products to market faster
  • Innovate at a higher pace
  • Respond more effectively to customer needs
  • Expand the portfolio with targeted AI-based solutions
The foundation for the next generation of software

Rhapsody plans to keep building on the platform strategy:

  • Continued development of HVH Flow
  • Expansion of AI-powered features
  • Step-by-step transformation of the existing product landscape

In short: hybrid rebuild as a strategic competitive advantage

With Thinkwise, Rhapsody has established a new approach to software development:

  • Hybrid rebuild instead of pure greenfield or traditional modernisation
  • Carrying over proven data structures and business logic into a completely new architecture
  • Building in short cycles with fast feedback, rather than rigid project phases
  • Platform as the foundation for future-proof innovation

The result: a scalable foundation for continuous innovation – and the ability to build solutions in a short time that give sales representatives real, day-to-day value through AI. And in doing so, shifting the sales organisation from reactive to proactive.
