Thinkwise expands platform with built-in MQTT support

Koninklijk Vezet, Europe's largest fruit and vegetable processing company, is the first to go live with Thinkwise's MQTT integration.

The Thinkwise Platform is expanding with built-in support for MQTT (the communication standard behind smart factories). This makes the platform Industry 4.0 ready: machines, sensors, and software systems on the production floor can now exchange data directly and in real time with the Thinkwise Platform. From 15 June 2026, manufacturers can run their ERP system and production floor operations in a single environment, without separate connectors or middleware.

This positions Thinkwise to meet the growing demand for more integrated factories. In Dutch manufacturing, labour is becoming scarcer and more expensive, while robots are getting faster, smarter, and cheaper. That calls for production environments where ERP and the production floorcommunicate in real time and stay digitally aligned.

Many production environments still operate with fragmented systems: an ERP for administration, separate software for production line management, and yet other systems for machine control. That fragmentation leads to costly custom integrations, duplicate data, and slow decision-making. Traditional integrations are complex, expensive, and brittle.

Thinkwise solves this with built-in MQTT support, allowing machines and sensors on the shop floor to communicate directly with office software. Orders flow straight from the office to the production line, and machine status updates feed back directly into the ERP. And because the machine control layer is now accessible from within the platform, organisations can build production management functionality in Thinkwise itself. Reducing dependence on external vendors, adapting faster when processes change, and replacing a patchwork of systems with a single environment.
