Thinkwise nominated for Computable Award ‘Software Supplier of the Year’

Apeldoorn, 4 July 2019 – Thinkwise has been nominated for the 2019 Computable Awards in the category of ‘Software Vendor of the Year’.  The jury, consisting of 16 independent experts, selected the ten leading software vendors of the Netherlands from 35 nominees. In 2017, Thinkwise won second place in the same category.

This year will be the fourteenth time that the annual Computable Awards will be presented. Thinkwise provides a unique low-code software development platform, that solves a problem inherent to software: technological obsolescence and legacy. With the Thinkwise Platform, business software is modeled rather than programmed, which allows organizations to respond to technological developments and react more quickly to market developments.

Robert van der Linden, co-founder and CEO of Thinkwise: “We are honored that Computable has once again nominated Thinkwise as ‘Software Vendor of the Year’. The jury recognizes our unique proposition to modernize legacy software with our model-driven low-code platform. Organizations have an increasing need for this. This is reflected in the strong growth of our organization. We have high hopes of winning the Computable Award this year”

Software Upcycling

Thinkwise was founded by Robert van der Linden and Victor Klaren in 2002. They used their experience at major international software companies to start a new software company with the mission to realize easily modifiable business software, that never becomes technologically outdated. Almost eighteen years later, Thinkwise has successfully applied its low-code software development platform and development methodology at hundreds of companies in 32 countries, including ZeemanHenry Schein and the Antea Group.

The Thinkwise low-code platform is widely used for the modernization of extensive business software. To achieve this, Thinkwise uses its unique Upcycling technology, , with which software models are derived from outdated systems. This reduces development time considerably, because existing applications do not need to be completely redeveloped.

Thinkwise distinguishes itself in the low-code landscape with its unique focus on the development and modernization of extensive and complex business applications with an unprecedented high productivity. The Thinkwise Platform is used by customers as well as partners for the development of a large variety of software solutions. According to the QSM research agency, the speed of development is ten times higher with the Thinkwise Platform than with traditional methods. In addition, development teams are demonstrably eight times smaller and consequently more manageable. Furthermore, Thinkwise was recognized this year in The Forrester Wave as one of the 13 leading low-code vendors: Low-Code Development Platforms for AD&D Professionals, Q1 2019.
